About the Blog

It’s a blog!

This blog is a direct result of  March 2008’s Reference Forum, which sought to answer the burning question:  How can RCL staff use our newfound 23 Things on a Stick blog knowledge for the good of the library and staff?

Answer?  We can start by dipping our toes into the waters of the blogosphere and creating a staff books and reading blog!

The purpose of this blog will be to discuss what we’re reading (and liking or hating), what we’re recommending (to friends and patrons), and brainstorm on readers advisory.  Since this is an in-house blog (at least not advertised to the public), we can experiment and see what works for when we start a public RCL blog.

Any questions about this at all?  Email cjackson@rclreads.org

(For those interested in such things, this blog was created in WordPress.  Although Blogger is a bit easier to work with, it does not have the ability to add tags and categories, which are necessary if this blog is to be useful and easily searched.  WordPress does have these aspects, as well as the ability to add extra pages, such as this one.)
